Marietta church administrator and NACBA member killed by ex-boyfriend

It is with profound sadness that we report the death of Elizabeth Berman, administrator at First United Methodist Church, Marietta, Georgia. Beth, just a few days shy of her 36^th birthday, died on Monday, June 18. Beth is survived by her 13-year-old daughter Katie. 

Beth had worked at the church for 14 years, beginning as a youth assistant when she was just 21 and moving to the administrator role four years ago. Beth joined NACBA at that time. She administered the 3,800 member church’s $3.5 million operating budget.

Senior Pastor Dr. Sam Matthews said, "She was my right-hand person. She was a very, very capable person. And very well-loved. The church is heart-broken."
