ATLANTA – The Cooperative Baptist Fellowship has entered into a partnership with Generis, a firm that offers stewardship and fundraising counsel, in order to provide services to churches.

Generis assists churches with comprehensive stewardship development, including annual giving, capital campaigns, planned giving programs and raising funds for new church starts, debt retirement and missions initiatives. In its 18 years of experience, the firm has conducted more than 2,000 campaigns, helping clients raised $2.8 billion.

“Generis brings a wealth of experience and success to the stewardship life of congregations,” said Bo Prosser, the Fellowship’s coordinator of congregational life. “Ruben Swint has been a trusted consultant with us for many years. His knowledge of Fellowship churches and his focus on relationships makes him a special friend to our work. We are excited about the future with this partnership.”

Generis’ staff consists of 25 consulting associates, including former CBF Foundation president Ruben Swint, who serves as a senior strategist.

“The goal of every stewardship and fundraising experience is to advance the unique mission of the congregation,” Swint said. “This is accomplished best when attention is paid to the identity, culture and values of the congregation.”

More information on the partnership will be available at the Generis booth at the Resource Fair of the CBF General Assembly. For more information, go to www.generis.com.

CBF is a fellowship of Baptist Christians and churches who share a passion for the Great Commission and a commitment to Baptist principles of faith and practice. The Fellowship’s mission is to serve Christians and churches as they discover and fulfill their God-given mission.
