Julie Fry appointed to GuideStone Funds Mutual Fund Board

 Dallas, TX -  Julie Fry, Chief Financial Officer of Salmon Sims Thomas & Associates PLLC, was appointed to GuideStone Funds Mutual Fund Board as an Independent Trustee/Financial Expert.  Julie is the financial expert on the Board and will serve as Chairman of the Audit Committee.  GuideStone manages over $10 billion in assets providing employee benefit plans to more than 36,000 evangelical churches, ministries, hospitals and educational institutions.

 Located in Dallas, GuideStone Financial Resources was founded in 1918 to provide financial assistance to retired Southern Baptist ministers, workers, their widows and orphans.  Today, GuideStone works to enhance the financial security of hundreds of thousands of ministers, employees and seminary students. 

 The operations of each Fund are under the direction of the Board of Trustees.  The Board establishes each Fund’s policies and oversees and reviews the management of each Fund.  The primary responsibility of the Board is to represent the interests of the shareholders of the Trust and to provide oversight management of the Trust.  The Mutual Fund Board is comprised of eight individuals.  The Board meets at least quarterly, to review the investment performance of each Fund and other operational matters.
