New
Pension Fund Officers Named at the Pension Fund of the Christian
Church
Richard A. Cohee has
been named Senior Vice President/Treasurer. He began serving the
Pension Fund of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) as Vice
President/Treasurer on August 16, 1977. Born in Indianapolis, Cohee
holds a BS degree from Indiana University and the Master of Business
Administration from Butler University. Richard and his wife Lynn
(Craddock) Cohee are the parents of two grown sons, James and
Andrew. They are active members of the Augusta Christian Church in
Indianapolis, IN.
Before coming to the Pension Fund,
Cohee was in investment officer with the Indiana National Bank of
Indianapolis. Over the past thirty years he has been a vital part of
the substantial growth, market trust and security the Pension Fund
shares with its members and pensioners. In 1977 Dr. William Martin
Smith, President of the Pension Fund was quoted as saying “ Richard
Cohee brings to the staff of the Pension Fund a valuable business
background as well as a dedication and commitment to the Church.”
These words ring true and we praise God or the many blessings
realized through the ministry of Richard A. Cohee with the Pension
Fund.
The Rev. T. Eugene
Fisher has been named Assistant Vice President of Membership. He
began serving the Pension Fund on February 1, 2006 as the Director
of Membership. Eugene has given primary leadership to recruitment of
Pension Plan members and has also been instrumental in leading
activities to enhance services to our constituents. Jim Hamlett,
President of the Pension Fund stated, “Eugene will give leadership
and oversight to the recruitment of a new generation of clergy and
lay employees to the Pension Plan and related programs. He will give
special emphasis to recruiting and serving an increasingly diverse
church.” Eugene holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business
Administration from Franklin University in Columbus Ohio and an
M.Div. in Theology from Christian Theological Seminary. Before
coming to the Pension Fund he served as the Minister of
Reconciliation for the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
Previously he served ministries at Centennial Christian Church, St.
Louis, MO, Faith United Christian Church, Canton, OH, Light of the
World Christian Church, Indianapolis, IN and Oasis of Hope Baptist
Church, Indianapolis, IN. He and his wife, Angela, are active
members of the Light of the World Christian Church in Indianapolis,
IN.
