SALMONBEACH announces name change to SALMON SIMS THOMAS June 1, 2007 - Dallas, Texas – SalmonBeach & Associates, a leading North Texas accounting firm, announced it has changed its name to Salmon Sims Thomas, effective immediately. “Our new name is a direct reflection of the vital leadership and professional skills Bill Sims and Rick Thomas have provided to the firm for years,” says Ron Salmon, CEO of Salmon Sims Thomas. “We also expect it to further strengthen our commitment and service delivery to the career education school and nonprofit communities.” Bill Sims is a partner, vice president and director at Salmon Sims Thomas. Bill merged his practice into the firm in November 1995 and heads up the firm’s nonprofit division. In addition to his expertise in the nonprofit sector, his practice focus includes business operational consulting for closely held businesses and a service specialization with audits of employee benefit plans. He is the designated partner in charge of the firm’s benefits practice. In addition to his responsibilities as partner, Rick Thomas manages the firm’s audit department as well as the career education team. Thomas joined the firm in 1988, following several years as a controller in the oil and gas and real estate syndication industries and a couple years with the Big Eight. He is a frequent speaker at conferences for the career education sector. Managing partner, Ron Salmon is the founding member of Salmon Sims Thomas and currently serves as chairman and chief executive officer. Ron is the engagement partner for a variety of clients, including individuals, career schools and closely held businesses. Ron is a frequent speaker and writer for the career education sector.
